Your credit card pre-authorizes the amount of your order when it is placed.
What is a pre-authorization on my credit card?
When placing an order with LAPP Tannehill, your order will be pre-authorized on your credit card, which reserved funds for a future payment transaction.
A pre-authorization is a temporary hold placed on your credit card to verify that the card is valid and has sufficient funds for a potential transaction, without actually charging the card.
A pre-authorization hold typically lasts about 5-7 days, although it may differ depending on the type of credit card you have and/or your bank.
Even though the funds cannot be accessed in your account, no money has been debited from your account in the pre-authorization stage, it’s just on hold or reserved. The pre-authorization hold impacts your available credit limit until it is released or settled.
When your order has been shipped and invoiced, the funds are then captured, which means your card was charged.
You must contact your credit card bank if having any issues with the pre-authorization, as we cannot make any changes on your card.
